What this structure costs on your numbers
Take a plan of $50 a month: $600 in the first 12 months, at a 70% gross margin. Keeping half of the gross profit leaves a reward budget of $210 for each referred customer. These are example figures, not Mercury's.
With Mercury's structure, the rewards for one referred customer cost $500. That is more than the $420 of gross profit that one referred customer brings at this price, so the program cannot break even here. A structure like this pays off only with higher-value customers.

The customer and the friend they invite both get a fixed amount of credit or cash.
- Create a free RefRef account and add your Project.

- Set the rewards: $250 for the referrer, $250 for the new customer, or your own amounts.
