More from Notion's terms
The flat fee is stated as 'up to' $50. The page says the program is not taking new affiliates right now. Added seats bought within a year of signup also earn rewards.

What this structure costs on your numbers
Take a plan of $50 a month: $600 in the first 12 months, at a 70% gross margin. Keeping half of the gross profit leaves a reward budget of $210 for each referred customer. These are example figures, not Notion's.
With Notion's structure, the rewards for one referred customer cost $170. For 100 referred customers, if 50% would not have bought anyway, the program returns $4,000 of net contribution (23.5% ROI). It breaks even when 40.5% of referred customers are new because of it.
Signup bonus and revenue share
Start from the “Reward the signup and the sale” template
Referrers earn a fixed amount when a friend signs up, then a share of that friend's payments.
- Create a free RefRef account and add your Project.
- Create a Program from the “Reward the signup and the sale” template.
- Set the rewards: $50 + 20% for 12 months for the partner, or your own amounts.
- Install the landing script and send the signup and purchase Events. RefRef connects each customer to their referrer and records the Rewards.
