What this structure costs on your numbers
Take a plan of $50 a month: $600 in the first 12 months, at a 70% gross margin. Keeping half of the gross profit leaves a reward budget of $210 for each referred customer. These are example figures, not Airtable's.
With Airtable's structure, the rewards for one referred customer cost $10. For 100 referred customers, if 50% would not have bought anyway, the program returns $20,000 of net contribution (2,000% ROI). It breaks even when 2.4% of referred customers are new because of it.
Cash bounty
Start from the “Cash for every paying customer” template
Only the referrer earns: a fixed amount of cash or credit for each friend who becomes a qualifying customer.
- Create a free RefRef account and add your Project.
- Create a Program from the “Cash for every paying customer” template.
- Set the rewards: $10 for the referrer, or your own amounts.
- Install the landing script and send the signup and purchase Events. RefRef connects each customer to their referrer and records the Rewards.
