What this structure costs on your numbers
Take a plan of $50 a month: $600 in the first 12 months, at a 70% gross margin. Keeping half of the gross profit leaves a reward budget of $210 for each referred customer. These are example figures, not TickTick's.
With TickTick's structure, the rewards for one referred customer cost $180. For 100 referred customers, if 50% would not have bought anyway, the program returns $3,000 of net contribution (16.7% ROI). It breaks even when 42.9% of referred customers are new because of it.
Revenue share
Start from the “Revenue share for partners” template
Partners earn a percentage of what the customers they send pay, for a fixed number of months.
- Create a free RefRef account and add your Project.
- Create a Program from the “Revenue share for partners” template.
- Set the rewards: 30% for 12 months for the partner, or your own amounts.
- Install the landing script and send the signup and purchase Events. RefRef connects each customer to their referrer and records the Rewards.
