More from Make's terms
An FAQ on the same page says 24 months, which conflicts with the 12 months stated elsewhere. Extra operations do not earn commission.

What this structure costs on your numbers
Take a plan of $50 a month: $600 in the first 12 months, at a 70% gross margin. Keeping half of the gross profit leaves a reward budget of $210 for each referred customer. These are example figures, not Make's.
With Make's structure, the rewards for one referred customer cost $210. For 100 referred customers, if 50% would not have bought anyway, the program returns $0 of net contribution (0% ROI). It breaks even when 50% of referred customers are new because of it.
