More from Convex's terms
This is a sales referral program for business leads, not a developer-to-developer program.

What this structure costs on your numbers
Take a plan of $50 a month: $600 in the first 12 months, at a 70% gross margin. Keeping half of the gross profit leaves a reward budget of $210 for each referred customer. These are example figures, not Convex's.
With Convex's structure, the rewards for one referred customer cost $500. That is more than the $420 of gross profit that one referred customer brings at this price, so the program cannot break even here. A structure like this pays off only with higher-value customers.
Cash bounty
Start from the “Cash for every paying customer” template
Only the referrer earns: a fixed amount of cash or credit for each friend who becomes a qualifying customer.
- Create a free RefRef account and add your Project.
- Create a Program from the “Cash for every paying customer” template.
- Set the rewards: $500 for the referrer, or your own amounts.
- Install the landing script and send the signup and purchase Events. RefRef connects each customer to their referrer and records the Rewards.
